Abstract:   (125 Views)
Humans are sensitive to low-frequency vibrations in the seated posture. Consequently, seated human biodynamics has been a prominent subject of interest, and numerous mathematical models have been developed in this regard to date. In conventional car seats, the seating system does not induce significant changes in the frequency of the coupled human-seat system. In this paper, employing a four-degree-of-freedom (4-DOF) biomechanical model alongside the PSO-CD multi-objective optimization algorithm, the IMP, STH, and VDV functions were optimized under a harmonic excitation with a maximum amplitude of 50 mm, yielding the optimal mass, stiffness, and damping coefficients of the car seat. Subsequently, the optimized outcomes were compared with the experimental and mathematical (analytical) results of a conventional seat. The obtained results demonstrate a substantial reduction in the aforementioned functions.
